Life Models' Society

The Life Models' Society is a member-led organisation of life models based in Melbourne, Australia, established in 1989. We run occassional events of life drawing, workshops for new members and new models, and social events.

    Are you ready for the ultimate drawing challenge? We are excited to offer you 12 hours of non-stop drawing! Or painting! Or sculpting! Session 1 and 4 suitable for ages 16 and over. Session 2 and 3 suitable for ages 10 and over. Younger children may attend if supervised by an adult.
  • Sunday 3 October 2021
    The LMS is a collective of models established to promote the welfare and dignity of models in Melbourne. These sessions will run for two hours, and will follow our standard working conditions. The session will include short and longer poses. Art materials are not supplied. Screenshots or photos of the model are strictly forbidden. By purchasing a ticket you agree not to take screenshots or photos.
  • Between Sunday 10 October 2021 and Sunday 28 November 2021
    The workshop will cover many issues that may affect your work as a model in terms of health and safety and professionalism. It is an opportunity to decide whether working as a nude model is what you want to do. Models attending may have experience or may have never been nude in front of others.     The Life Model's Society Extravaganza is an opportunity to draw multiple models, network with artists, models. Featuring music, food, beverages and group poses. Easels provided, materials are not. Bookings are recommended as these events are popular. Models will cycle through group, and individual poses through the afternoon
