Launch Dance Showcase

Friday 8 May 2026
Welcome to Launch 2026 – the Queensland Academies Creative Industries Dance production for 2026, featuring performance and composition from students in Years 10, 11 and 12. Launch 2026, is made up of a musical theatre piece and two contemporary works created by QACI students in collaboration with QACI's Dance Teachers, Liz Collyer and Amanda Oliver. Throughout this term, the students worked with Mrs Collyer and Mrs Oliver to explore and create movement. They took ownership to establish their own working processes and styles within movement. The outcome is dance works of varying genres and work that incorporates each student's individual compositions. The pieces were student driven and it was amazing watching their ideas come to life.
