Holding Space Online: Building Safe and Sustainable Communities
Creating spaces where people feel safe, respected, and able to share openly is at the heart of strong peer communities. For individuals, families, carers, group members, and organisations in the rare, genetic and undiagnosed (RGU) community, these spaces can provide connection, understanding, and support during complex and often uncertain journeys.
This 1-hour networking session invites a thoughtful conversation about what helps communities feel welcoming and sustainable. Together we will explore the role of boundaries, how we support one another while also protecting our own capacity, and what inclusion and accessibility can look like in practice.
Rather than formal presentations, the focus will be on shared reflections and lived insights. It will be an opportunity to learn from one another’s experiences, consider what has worked well, and gently explore how we can continue strengthening spaces of belonging across the community.
*This event is designed for individuals living with, or caring for someone with, a Rare Genetic or Undiagnosed (RGU) condition. However, if you feel the session would be valuable for you, we warmly encourage you to register.
