These classes are designed for dancers starting from scratch. They'll introduce the fundamentals of blues dancing, the basic shapes and some accessible moves you can use on the social dance floor. Each class will build up your blues vocabulary so you can start creating and improvising with your partner. Expect to have fun and meet loads of new people, while you explore becoming a grounded, versatile and expressive dancer. We'll also share some of the amazing artists who have created the blues and hope to inspire you to learn more about this rich, living culture.

Welcome to Melbourne's newest Balboa social night! Co-hosted by John, Julia, Shob and Andy and bringing you a fun, relaxed opportunity to meet and dance with other bal lovers :) We are thrilled to kick off the year with live music from the incredible John Hunt quartet..back by popular demand! The event also features an intermediate balboa class to get you inspired and then 2.5 hours of great social dancing...featuring some beautiful slow balboa tunes as well!
