The role of the End of Life Doula is still emerging, and widely misunderstood. Many people, including health professionals, are unsure where this role fits within our existing healthcare systems and as part of our community. This role does not replace medical and other healthcare teams, families or friends. Instead, the Doula role complements these roles, often filling in the 'gaps'. Through the sharing of de-identified client stories, join End of Life Doula, Jacqui Williams as she offers a personal insight into this valuable and evolving role, and its growing relevance within our Australian and international communities. Within this 1-hour session Jacqui's stories demonstrate not just the evolving role of the End of Life Doula but some ways individuals have approached life, legacy, end-of-life and grief with greater clarity, calm and compassion.
