Always wanted to sew but don’t know where to start? Our Weekend Beginner’s Learn to Sew Workshop is the perfect way to build confidence & learn foundational techniques in a fun, hands-on setting! Over two engaging days, you’ll learn how to: - Use & troubleshoot a sewing machine - Understand fabric grain, layout and cutting - Sew basic stitches, seam applications & hems - Begin constructing a simple garment With step-by-step guidance from an experienced instructor, you’ll also learn how to follow a simple pattern & apply these sewing methods to one of the basic projects pictured below (you'll need your own fabric for this, further info is emailed out to you upon booking) & learn to apply everything you've learned to your future ones. Whether you're an absolute beginner or just need a refresher, this workshop will give you the skills & confidence to start sewing independently. No experience is needed- just bring your machine (or hire one of ours) & your enthusiasm!

If you have clothing or accessories that are sitting in a mending pile waiting to have new life breathed back into them again - this is the class for you. This is a beautiful opportunity for us to practice some mindfulness as we slow down physically and allow ourselves a slower pace while chatting and bringing back some goodness to our often depleted cups. Please bring all the materials that you will need to fix, mend and repair your items. I'll help you get your clothes and accessories looking fabulous again and will also demonstrate a mending method each class.

**Please note to avoid disappointment: Bookings close two full days before the class is run.** If you've found the most loveable top, dress, pair of pants or anything else from an op-shop and it NEARLY fits you, bring your garment to the workshop as we look at options of how to optimise fit for existing garments so you can prepare or sew it in this practical class.
