Youth Mental Health First Aid

This course is delivered in a blended model whereby a self-paced eLearning (online) component (approximately 4-5 hours) is done at your convenience before attending the 1 day face-to-face component. The course content is exactly the same as the Youth Mental Health First Aid Course, delivered in a blended way. This course is for adults to assist adolescents experiencing onset of mental illness, worsening of a mental health illness or problem, or are in mental health crisis. Ideal for parents, teachers, sports coaches, youth workers or group leaders working with adolescents. Completing this course can help people intervene early by recognizing warning signs of mental health problems in young people. It provides essential skills required to speak confidently and provide accurate information while reducing stigma, and respond in a crisis when a young person may be at risk of harm.
