Knox: Hands-on Mountain Bike (MTB) Maintenance Workshop (CANCELLED)

This 3-hour workshop is an interactive, hands-on MTB-specific bike maintenance experience. Includes demonstration and explanation of MTB maintenance essentials, including setting up your suspension, maintaining disc brakes and replacing pads, changing a flat tyre, instruction to running tubeless, and cleaning and lubing the drive-train. Includes opportunities for participants to check and repair their own bikes, with assistance from the presenters. For 13yo upwards (u18 to be accompanied by a parent/guardian). This course is commissioned by the Knox City Council and delivered by Bike it Better.

Knox: Hands-on Basic Bike Maintenance Workshop

This 3-hour workshop is an interactive, hands-on bike maintenance experience. Includes demonstration and explanation of bicycle maintenance essentials and opportunities for participants to check and repair their own bikes, with assistance from the presenters. Two session types are available - one for general bikes (all bike types), and one specifically for Mountain Bikes (MTB). Please read the session details below and ensure you book into the correct session for your bike type and interests. For 13yo upwards (u18 to be accompanied by a parent/guardian). Port Phillip Novice Bike Riding Skills for Older Adults 2024

This 2.5 hour practical bike riding skills training session is ideal for older adults who can balance and pedal, and have rudimentary bike riding skills, but who may have not ridden for some time, or may lack confidence. Improve your riding skills so that you can get on your bike to visit friends, go shopping, ride to work or study, or for fitness and recreation. This course is commissioned by the City of Port Phillip and facilitated by Bike it Better, for people who live, work or study in Port Phillip.

Banyule/Darebin: Urban Cycling Confidence: 2024

This 4.5 hour Urban Cycling Confidence course is for adults who can ride confidently on shared paths and wish to start riding on the road. You will develop your bike riding skills and knowledge to ride on roads with confidence, and enable you to use your bike for sustainable transport to work, visit friends, for shopping, fitness and recreation. Includes an on-road riding component in light traffic. This course is a collaboration between City of Banyule and City of Darebin, and delivered by the professionals from Bike it Better.

On-Road Defensive Cycling for Delivery Riders (Port Phillip)

This 3 hour practical bike riding skills training session is ideal for delivery riders. With an emphasis on on-road practical experience, the aim of this course is to empower delivery riders with improved traffic skills and awareness, and to teach road rules specific to bike riders, so that they can keep themselves and others safe when riding on the roads. This course is commissioned by the City of Port Phillip and facilitated by Bike it Better, for people who live or conduct their work in City of Port Phillip.
