Banyule: Individual Bike Skills Sessions (all ages): 2025-26

Each of these 50min cycling skills sessions is for adults or children aged 7+ who can not yet ride a bike but would like to learn, or for novice riders with basic skills who would like to improve their confidence to enable them to use their bike for sustainable transport to work, shopping, visit friends, or fitness and recreation. This course is commissioned by Banyule City Council and delivered by Cazz from Bike it Better www.bikeitbetter.com. * Participants MUST live, work or study within Banyule City Council.  * Limit of 1 session per participant.

On Ya Bike Intermediate to Advanced Bike Ed course

Know how to ride, but want to brush-up on your skills and confidence riding on shared paths and the road with others? Interested in learning more about opportunities for regular rides with a fun local group? The Ageing Well team in partnership with Nillumbik Bicycle User Group (Nillum-BUG) are offering this low-cost course for older riders. Come and revise your skills, possibly learn some new tips, and meet the Nillum-BUG crew who are looking for new members to join their weekly rides. The practical course will be conducted by qualified instructor and bike coach from 'Bike it Better' Jennie Ramage, a later convert to cycling with lived experience of developing new skills over fifty.

This 4.5 hour On-road Bike Confidence course is for adults who can ride confidently on shared paths and wish to start riding on the road. You will develop your bike riding skills and knowledge to ride on roads with confidence, and enable you to use your bike for sustainable transport to work, visit friends, for shopping, fitness and recreation. Includes an on-road riding component in light traffic. This course is commissioned by City of Banyule and delivered by the professionals from Bike it Better.

Get back on your bike! - bike educations for adults

This 4 hour practical bike riding skills training session is ideal for adults who can already balance and pedal but find they don't often use their bicycle. Perhaps you've not ridden for a while, are returning from an injury, or you'd just like to feel more confident out and about on two wheels? Improve your riding skills in a traffic free environment so that you can get out on your bike more often; whether its with friends, doing the shopping, riding to work or study or to improve your fitness and enjoy the great local bike paths! This course is commissioned by Nillumbik Shire Council and delivered by the professionals from Bike it Better. It is open to adults who live, work or study in Nillumbik.
