Bush Knowing Forest School offers nature immersion and early learning experiences for young children.

Led by Joanne Sørensen, Bush Knowing was the first Forest School in North Brisbane. It began as a way to engage and immerse children and their families with the local natural environment.

Bush Kindy Adventurers Term 2 2024

Between Wednesday 17 April 2024 and Wednesday 19 June 2024
Bush Knowing Forest School offers nature immersion and early learning experiences for children in North Brisbane. This is a consistent group who attend on Wednesday 9am until midday, for approximately 10 sessions per term of the Queensland School year. It is aimed at children three to 8 years - younger siblings are welcome and payment is for all children 2 years and above. This group is a little different as you can can bring and supervise your own children and their friends. Payment is upfront for a minimum of 4 sessions for the term - you choose the dates available. Ideally for consistency all 10 sessions are recommended. All sessions are non refundable unless the Forest School leader cancels the session.

Nature craft and Woodworking sessions

Between Wednesday 22 July 2020 and Wednesday 9 December 2020
Wednesday tool/craft session for children over 3 years - 9 until 11am - 10 families maximum -$25 for one child, $40 for 2 children, $55 for 3 children, $65 for 4 children. Some examples of ideas include - crafting with nature items, Christmas decorations, nature weaving, woodwork, using drills, whittling and so much more. An adult must be capable to support the children in their care.
