Multi-Aria Award Winner RUSSELL MORRIS is returning to Trinity Sessions where he will be showcasing his collection of iconic Australian songs and blues and roots music that pertain to some of the characters, events and moments in our rich tapestry of Australian history. Be quick to book this one as his previous shows have sold out.
His domination of the Australian Blues scene began in 2012 when Russell sold over 70,000 copies of his platinum selling and ARIA AWARD winning Best Blues Album Sharkmouth. He did it again in 2014 with the ARIA nominated Best Blues Album Van Diemens Land. The trilogy was completed when he won his second ARIA Award winning Best Blues Album Red Dirt, Red Heart in 2016. And let's not forget his legendary career and incredible hits such as 'The Real Thing, 'Sweet Sweet Love', 'Part Three In Paper Walls', 'Wings Of An Eagle' and many more.
Supporting Russell will be Sean Blackwell, a songwriter from Adelaide who has opened for artists such as Dionne Warwick, Leo Sayer and Boney M. Sean has released two EP’s ‘Flicka’ & ‘Smile’ that enjoyed airplay on Triple J and Double J. Drew and Kirsten round out Sean’s trio blending beautiful acoustics with angelic harmonies.
Trinity Sessions is a fully reserved seating concert style venue where the focus is on the music with bar facilities pre-show and interval. The bar is not open during the performances. Trinity Sessions sells a range of beer, wine, cider, soft drinks and small snacks. No BYO drinks allowed and no BYO food allowed into the concert space.
