Sally Ford and the Idiomatics (SOLD OUT)

About
Everyone always loves it when we are lucky enough to have Sally Ford and the Idiomatics playing in the Library, so book your tickets soon!Sally Ford and the Idiomatics play songs of life, love and lived experience.
This genre-defying ensemble fuses the musical provenance of its members ... from latin to film music via ska and funk.
Patrick Cronin and Michael Havir provide lush backing arrangements to Sally Ford’s wryly-observed lyrics. The underscore of keyboards, samples and synth is embellished by trombone, saxophone, flute and even a bit of whistling. Adding some strings magic is Alice Garner on cello.
Their uplifting, groove-drenched sound draws on the performers’ respective backgrounds in the ARIA-winning Melbourne Ska Orchestra, the Spaghetti Western Orchestra, Texicali Rose, Xylouris Ensemble, Yothu Yindi, Sally Ford and the Pachuco Playboys, Joe Camilleri’s Black Sorrows, Frank Yamma, and the Endlings.
A richly imagined musical experience.
