"The Addams Family, A New Musical" follows the quirky and macabre Addams Family, who face a major challenge when their daughter, Wednesday, falls in love with a 'normal' boy named Lucas Beineke. Devastated that their daughter has chosen a boy whose mother wears 'colour', and whose family are from 'Ohio - a swing state!', Morticia and Gomez grapple with their feelings of failed parenthood as they watch their once-dark daughter feel empathy for fluffy bunny rabbits (yuck!). When the families meet for dinner at the Addams Family mansion, secrets unravel and tensions rise as each character discloses their inner most conflicts, ultimately revealed through a chaotic game of 'Full Disclosure'. Both families must confront their unique ways and learn to embrace change and acceptance. The musical combines dark humour, catchy songs, and the beloved eccentric characters to deliver a heartwarming message about family and love.
