Marte Meo is a strengths-based approach developed in The Netherlands by Maria Aarts. The term is translated from Latin as 'on one's own strength'. It is a video-based method for providing information about how to support development in daily interactions. It provides parents, relatives, carers and professionals with detailed, practical and concrete information to support and interact with children, strengthening their relationship and supporting their child's social and emotional development.What is in the training?
In this one-day face-to-face training, you will be introduced to the Marte Meo Method through a range of video demonstrations of the basic Marte Meo elements in parent-infant/child dyads and educator/child interactions. This training will help you hone your observational skills and give practical information about following and leading in everyday interactions.
