Balangara Films together with Barkers Creek Landcare & Wildlife Group, Connecting Country and BirdLife Castlemaine District present the award winning film 'The Message of the Lyrebird'.This is a special fundraising event also featuring live music by Joel Bloom and Hilary Blackshaw and a conversation with local Landcarers and ecologists.
Join us for this exclusive screening of a remarkable film celebrating one of Australia's iconic birds.
"Set in a natural wonderland where an exquisite forest faery has been performing astonishing song and dance routines for 18 million years, The Message of the Lyrebird takes the audience on a journey of self-reflection, connection and a call to remember to live without destroying the things we love."
All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards Connecting Country’s Conservation Program and Balangara Films Education Distribution Program.
This fundraiser event is part of the Feathery Festival celebrating central Victoria's woodland birds.
