Performance, power and imagination: the case for theatre

Performance, power and imagination: the case for theatre

hero

Join Edith Cowan University for the fourth event in the 2024 ECU Lecture Series.

In this lecture, we will hear from Professor Helena Grehan, Vice-Chancellor’s Professorial Research Fellow at ECU’s Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, acclaimed international expert and national multi-award winning author, researcher and teacher.

As a leading specialist in theatre, performance and creative arts, Professor Grehan’s research deals with the intersections of art, technology, politics, and spectatorship in the contemporary context.

Her lecture will draw on important work being created in Australia today and explore the value of theatre and performance to present complex and often contradictory ideas, which help us slow down and reflect.

This event is open to the public. Registrations are essential.
