About
Masami Kawaguchi has been a prominent part of the Japanese psychedelic underground for the last two decades and is one of the finest psych rock guitarists to emerge from Japan this century. As well as being a solo performer and playing in bands with members of Les Rallizes Denudes and Acid Mothers Temple, Masami has established his own band, New Rock Syndicate.Masami has a strong Australian connection having recorded, toured and released with Radio Birdman's Deniz Tek, Penny Ikinger and The Scientists' Kim Salmon.
On a very brief visit to Australia, we have managed to get Masami to play one of his rare and very special solo sets at Merri Creek Tavern on the afternoon of Sunday 19th October.
