This webinar will outline the importance of explicitly teaching executive skills for students with Learning and Attention Disorders.Participants will:
• gain a greater understanding of executive skills;
• learn a 5-step process for embedding executive skills into classrooms;
• explore ways to create routines that incorporate executive skills and embed skills into lessons; and
• access strategies to engage students in problem-solving.
Dr. Peg Dawson has worked at the Center for Learning and Attention Disorders in Portsmouth, New Hampshire with thousands of children and teens struggling with weak executive skills. She consults and presents across the USA and internationally. She is co-author of several books with Dr. Richard Guare on this topic including Smart but Scattered, Executive Skills in Children and Adolescents, and Coaching Students with Executive Skills Challenge.
