2025/26 SEASON
Our season will commence on Monday 17th November 2025 and conclude on Thursday 5th March 2026.
Assessment:
Our coaches will assess swimmers at the start of the season and will make changes to groups if required. It is extremely important that our groups consist of swimmers at a similar level, so our coaches can provide lessons that will help all our members excel.
Christmas / New Year Break: Friday 12th December to Sunday 4th January
There will be no classes held during this break.
Club Championship: Sunday 1st March
The annual Club Championships will be held on Sunday 1st March 2026. Swimmers choose the events they wish to compete in. There will be a sausage sizzle, and lots of family fun activities to conclude the day. All families are invited to come along and join in.
OUR PROGRAMS
Learn to Swim: Wednesday
Learn to Swim groups are formed with the skills of beginner swimmers in mind. Children starting school in 2026 or older, are eligible to enrol for Learn to Swim. Basic water safety and mobilisation skills are covered as children gain confidence in the water.
Advanced Learn to Swim: Thursday
Children who have gained water confidence and full mobilisation of the four basic strokes will progress to ‘Advanced Learn to Swim’ to develop and refine stroke technique.
Junior Squad: Tuesday
Members of the ‘Junior Squad’ are refining and strengthening all strokes, and developing endurance with laps of the pool emphasizing breathing, turns and consistency.
Intermediate Squad: Monday and Wednesday
The aims for Intermediate Squad for the season are to get fit and have fun while increasing proficiency in all strokes and racing technique.
This season Intermediate Squad members will be offered the choice of swimming one or two nights per week.
Senior Squad: Monday and Wednesday
Senior Squad members are proficient in all strokes, and wish to continue to improve their speed, technique and endurance.
This season Senior Squad members will be offered the choice of swimming one or two nights per week.
The club is aware of potential clashes with other sports and will do our best to work around this to ensure members can participate. When registering you will be asked if your child/children are playing basketball and you will also be able to select the night so we are able to use this information.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Self-Assessment - For New Members Only
When registering, there is a self-assessment section which is required to be filled out for new members.
* Members from last season are not required to complete this section.
Payments
If you are experiencing financial hardship at this time, please use the contact event organiser button below to discuss alternative payment options.
Commitment
Places in our swimming program are limited and we ask that when registering you consider the commitment to our entire swimming season.
In past seasons we've had a number of swimmers start the season and stop attending after a small number of sessions. This results in other participants missing out on a place and we would prefer to not see this happen.
Adult Squad
This year we are looking at introducing an Adult Squad, to be held one evening each week.
The program will provide a great opportunity for parents/guardians to access our local pool and be provided with a program to do at their own pace.
If you are interested in taking part, please complete the Expression of Interest when registering your child/children and we will share further information, including the day, time, and cost, in the coming weeks.
Adults wanting more structured coaching are still able to join our Senior Squad.
Pool Access During Lessons
We kindly remind families that only swimmers who have a scheduled lesson should be accessing the pool during that lesson time. This is important, as our insurance only covers registered swimmers participating in the lesson, and any additional people in the water can make supervision more challenging for our coaches. We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Swimming Caps
We will be ordering silicon swimming caps with our new club logo on them. If you would like a cap for your child please order it when registering and they will be given out as soon as they arrive, hopefully in the first week.
