Wonderful Parent Collective - Nov 2025: Transitions
About
The Wonderful Parent Collective is a social event for parents, grandparents and carers of neurodivergent families. This event is for you if you have a child or teen with big emotions, sensory processing difficulties, behavioural or learning concerns and for our autistic, ADHDer, and/or intellectual disability families.
Capably facilitated by accredited mental health clinicians, Suzie Forbes (Occupational Therapist) and Kathryn Morgan-Smith (Social Worker) with combined experience of 45 years of working with neurodivergent families, and both with lived experience at this gig too.
This event is structured to give you a nurtured break, to chat about an issue that affects neurodivergent families, and is an opportunity to meet other parents, grandparents and carers raising kids from a similar playbook to yours.
We know parenting in a neurodivergent family is different and can be both exhausting and exhilarating. Come share these highs and lows with people that have similar experiences within a safe, structured event.
Our November Wonderful Parent Collective's theme will focus on supporting positive transitions. We will chat about strategies to help you plan for a smoother start to 2026, including ideas for helping your neurodivergent child start school, kinder or high school, and also for the new teacher, new classmates transition.
There will be plenty of time to get to know each other too.
We hope to run this afternoon six times in 2026 and would love to hear from you directly about themes of interest too.
Come have a cuppa with us and share your wisdom. We can't wait to meet you.
