About
Dr Edward Simons has been appointed by the Board and endorsed by Archbishop Peter A Comensoli to be Executive Director of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) and Executive Director of Education for the Archdiocese of Melbourne.With more than 20 years of experience across the UK and Australia, he has served as a teacher, principal, and policy advisor to a Minister for Education. His background combines classroom insight with system-level leadership and policy expertise.
Dr Simons holds a Doctorate of Education (University of Western Australia), is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and completed the High Potentials Leadership Course at Harvard Business School.
A man of faith and family, he is an active parishioner and proud MACS parent, dedicated to helping schools form lives of faith, hope, and love in the light of Jesus Christ.
