SYNOPSIS:Set against the backdrop of modern-day Melbourne’s CBD, ‘BURNOUT - The musical’ Burnout follows three characters whose lives are driven by passion but strained by pressure.
Kyah, a sous chef, has spent her life chasing the dream of becoming head chef, but the chaos of the kitchen pushes her to breaking point. Patel, a finance broker, has achieved extraordinary success as the youngest senior partner in his firm’s history, yet finds himself hollowed by the relentless pursuit of corporate triumph. Hina, a rock musician, balances hope and heartbreak as she fights to make her mark in the music industry.
At the heart of their journeys is Lydia, their guardian angel who cannot make their choices but opens doors to possibility, reminding them that every decision comes with risk.
Through their intertwined stories, Burnout asks: when we face exhaustion and collapse, do we fold or do we handle the gamble of life?
