About
The Early Career Teacher (ECT) Program is a three-year program designed to support early career teacher induction into the Ballarat Diocese and the teaching profession, within the context of working in the ministry of Catholic education. The program reflects the partnership between DOBCEL and schools who support the professional growth of early career teachers. Elements of the program presented through these dedicated days will complement formation opportunities initiated by the school community.Learning Outcomes:
Strengthen teaching skills through support in behaviour, planning, differentiation, and reporting.
Collaborate and reflect within a professional network of early career and experienced educators.
Develop professional identity and wellbeing through Catholic identity, and workload management.
Intended Audience:
1st Year sessions:
Early career teachers who are 1st Years in 2026
2nd/3rd Year sessions:
Early career teachers who attended the program in 2024/25
