Alcohol and Other Drugs 101: A toolkit for non AOD workers
This full day workshop is designed specifically for non specialist workers who may encounter people who use alcohol and other drugs in their work. We cover essential knowledge on alcohol and other drugs, understanding the alcohol and other drug treatment sector and how to best refer.
Suitable for workers in a variety of sectors including health, welfare, housing, justice, child protection and education, we will cover practical strategies to engage compassionately and effectively, how to have conversations about alcohol and other drug use and how to offer support within your role.
On average, participants of Alcohol and Other Drugs 101 report a 23% increase in knowledge, 54% increase in skills and 56% increase in confidence. Satisfaction is rated at 8.8/10 and 90% of participants would recommend this workshop to others.
