Please join the School of Education's Sport, Health Education Research Committee (SHEdRD) along with visiting Scholar Professor David Brown, Professor in the Sociology of Sport and Physical Culture, Cardiff School of Sport & Health Sciences, Cardiff Metropolitan University, for a workshop on Exploring relationships between theory and data in education.
The workshop will explore the relationship between theory and data in educational research across three parts. Participants will share examples of how data illustrates, challenges, builds, combines, and models theory. It will also cover established ways of theorising with data and conclude with a discussion on bridging the theory-practice divide.
