About
Being part of the EDC competition team is both an honour and a responsibility. Our dancers represent the Elite standard - not only on stage but in their behaviour, work ethic, and attitude throughout the year.At EDC we believe in building strong, supportive teams that lift each other up and perform as one.

E - Excellence
Always striving to improve: Brings focus, discipline and professionalism to every rehearsal, class and performance.

Sets a positive example for peers. Encourages, uplifts and motivates other to reach their potential

Shows honesty, respect, and accountability in all interactions with teachers, teammates, parents and competitions

Performs as one cohesive unit. Supports others, celebrates their success, and contributes to a positive environment.
E - Effort
Gives 100% every time. Comes prepared, listens to feedback, and commits to the full process.
Criteria
Ability to pick up choreography.
Retain choreography without weekly repetition.
Strong skill set relevant to the style.
Shows full-out effort and responsive in class.
Non Negotiable for all dancers
* Ballet Exam classes: Compulsory for all competition students.
*Attendance: Must be maintained at a high level. Excessive absences may affect eligibility for team inclusion or performances.
* Practice: Regular at home practice is expected to reinforce choreography, flexibility and conditioning.
* Behaviour: Dancers must represent EDC with pride and positivity - inside the studio, at competitions, in the community and online.
Audition Process
All dancers (new and returning) must audition. Selections are based on more than just technical ability. Teachers will also consider;
