Grass ID Field Day - Taradale (SOLD OUT)
About
Picking out the good from the bad can be particularly hard when it comes to grasses. Come along to this practical field day, with local botanist and Taradale Landcare President, Brian Bainbridge, to learn the ins and outs of grass identification. For over 25 years, Brian’s career, volunteering, and hobbies have involved restoring biodiversity in Melbourne and in Central Victoria. His experience is holistic, encompassing on-ground works, planning and community involvement. Brian also has a passion for making ecological learning fun through finding and sharing the stories of the ecosystems we live in.
In Brian’s experience, the often-overlooked grasses can be your greatest ally or worst foe in ecological restoration. Learning the names and life strategies of the grasses is a key to understanding your own projects.
Join us for an informative two hour sessions that will set you up with basic grass grass identification skills.
