CU Junior Dolphin Researcher Workshop (SOLD OUT)

Thanks to our valued CU Learning Destination partner, the Dolphin Discovery Centre and the generous funding from The University Department of Rural Health – South West, we are offering discounted tickets to a special weekend workshop - exclusive to Children’s University!In this workshop, you will find out why dolphins are often considered to be the smartest animals in the ocean and learn about the clever techniques they use to hunt and communicate with each other. You will also have the opportunity to study dolphin anatomy and discover how dolphin researchers recognise individual animals - will you be able to apply your knowledge to identify some of our local dolphins?!
Registration and Entry:
Registration is from 9.15am. We will need to gather as a group. Please meet outside the Dolphin Discovery Centre (Look for the CU banner).
Important information:
- The workshop will run for 2 hours with a short refreshment break.
- All Children’s University members are welcome; however, the workshop is best suited for members aged 7+.
- Guardians are required to accompany their child. Please note, due to space restrictions, only one guardian may attend for each participating CU member, and we are unable to accommodate siblings at this session.
- Closed in shoes are essential. Sunscreen is provided, please bring a hat and drink bottle.
- Access to the DDC Interpretive Centre may be included as part of the workshop; however visiting the space before/after the workshop will require a paid ticket.
Supervision:
Children must be supervised by a parent or designated guardian (18 + years) at all times. Note the Children’s University team will not be providing care or supervision.
