==========================
We are pleased to announce that Mr Andrew Bales will be our guest speaker this month.
Andrew is a qualified geologist with over 18 years of experience in the resources industry, including more than a decade in senior management roles. His career has been primarily focused on the gold sector, spanning mining and exploration geology, resource development, grade control, and environmental management.
He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Geology) from the University of Ballarat, as well as an Honours degree specialising in gold mineralisation and associated structural controls in north-western Victoria.
Andrew’s professional journey has taken him across Australia, where he has led companies with major exploration projects, successfully identifying and advancing exploration targets through to classified resources and, subsequently, viable mining operations. Many will also recognise him from his appearances as a weekend prospector on Channel 7, sharing his knowledge and passion for Australia’s goldfields.
Born in St Arnaud, in the heart of central Victoria’s historic gold-mining region, Andrew developed a love for gold from a young age – and, unlike many of us, he didn’t find his first nugget at Sovereign Hill!
Join us for a fascinating and insightful presentation as Andrew shares his expertise, experiences, and stories from a life devoted to discovering Australia’s precious metal treasures.
