Understanding the Five Elements for Ultimate Health
In a world increasingly disconnected from nature’s rhythms, the Five Elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—offer a timeless blueprint for holistic wellbeing.
These elements are not literal substances but represent energetic qualities and are linked to different aspects of nature and the human body, such as organs, seasons, colors, tastes, and emotions. The theory is used to understand and diagnose health imbalances, as a deficiency or excess in one element can disrupt the natural cycles of the other elements, leading to illness.
During this 4 Week course you will learn about each Element, the characteristics, interactions with other elements, common symptoms, associated organs, meridians, key pressure points and what you can do to create harmony and balance within the 5 elements through yoga, diet and other lifestyle choices.
This Knowledge can help to diagnose common symptoms and give you the ability to do something about it.
This course will be run by Harry Ford who has 20 years experience working with the five elements through Shiatsu, Macrobiotics and Japanese Yoga.
Date and Time: Thursdays, 20th of November to 11th of December, 7:15 - 8:15pm
