RAPÉH / HAPÉ
Rapéh (pronounced ha-peh) is a sacred plant medicine traditionally used by the indigenous peoples of the Amazon for centuries. It is a powerful blend of finely ground medicinal plants, ashes, barks, tobaccos, and sacred mapacho.
Traditionally used in ceremony and prayer, Rapéh is known as a medicine of grounding, clarity, connection, and energetic alignment. It is often used to help quiet the mind, clear mental fog, release stagnant energy, deepen meditation, and reconnect to presence and inner awareness.
Rapéh is administered through the nose using a traditional applicator called a kuripe (self-applicator) or tepi (administered by another). The medicine works through both the physical and energetic body, often creating a strong sense of stillness, focus, cleansing, and centeredness.
Many people experience:
• Mental clarity and focus
• Emotional release
• Grounding and nervous system regulation
• Deeper connection to self and spirit
• Enhanced meditation and breath awareness
• Greater presence and inner silence
For many indigenous traditions, Rapéh is not used recreationally, but prayerfully and intentionally — as a sacred tool for healing, purification, protection, and spiritual connection.
When held in a safe and respectful ceremonial space, Rapéh can become a powerful ally for returning to balance, presence, and remembrance
