SBAA Business Breakfast: Equities and Real Estate Debate (CANCELLED)
Event Overview
With the recent Federal Budget proposing changes to negative gearing and capital gains tax, the investment strategies of many Australians are now under scrutiny. What makes the most sense, in terms of investing in property or shares?
Join us for a morning breakfast debate where two teams will go face-to-face arguing about the pros and cons of the popular investment strategies of property versus shares.
The competing teams will include members from Ray White, Place Estate Agents, Coronis, Morgans and Ord Minnett.
For property: Andrew Coronis (Chairman of The Coronis Group), Shane Hicks (Place Estate Agents), and Avi Khan (Group CEO of Ray White Daisy Hill).
For shares: Ken Howard (Morgans), Keeley Walsh (Morgans Research), and David Lane (State Manager QLD: Ord Minnett).
The debate moderator is Associate Professor Dr Brett Freudenberg from Curtin University, who teaches into their online Masters of Taxation. Brett is also a member of the Think Tank for the Small Business Association of Australia.
