Shalom Long Lunch – Pioneering Ministries

John and Maggie will unfold the stories of their early pioneering family’s adventures. Starting with the role of the SS Great Britain in opening up Australia and John’s great grandfather’s journal of the sea passage in 1853, as well as some of his early ventures in both the tanning and shale-oil industry in South Creek and Joadja. They will also relate some of the early stories from Maggie’s family in the wilds of the Peace River country in Canada, and John’s family in their farming ventures at Cookardinia in the Riverina, plus the rigours of war on the Kokoda Trail & Changi prison. John and Maggie have been involved in a variety of ventures that span over four decades and will talk about their pioneering work in St.Marys and St.Clair, planting a church in a new housing estate, as well as championing the Alpha Course across the Nation.

Talk starts at 12 noon followed by lunch around 1pm to 3pm
