Boyd Meets Girl pairs American cellist Laura Metcalf with Australian classical guitarist Rupert Boyd, in an ensemble that performs an eclectic blend of transcriptions and original works from the baroque through modern day. Based in New York City, both Boyd and Metcalf are respected soloists in their own right; Metcalf has been lauded by The Washington Post for her “gorgeous cello legatos,” while Boyd has been described by Classical Guitar Magazine as “a player who deserves to be heard.
