The RMP is Australia's oldest surviving Arts organisation, and its oldest choir. Since 1853 it has performed at many historic occasions and events in Melbourne. Following on from its performance at Flemington Racecourse at the pre race ceremony earlier in the day, the RMP will again host a special fundraiser on Cup Day evening, featuring fine wines, gourmet cheeses, fruit platters and tasty nibbles with performances by some of Australia's finest opera, instrumental and chamber musicians in an informal, relaxed environment. There will be a silent auction, with all proceeds going towards the survival of the RMP.
