MUSC presents: Plastic Shakespeare

PLASTIC SHAKESPEARE figures the Shakespearean canon as something that is lustrous, useful and malleable while simultaneously recognising that it can also be non-degradable, garish and opaque.
The two short plays within this double bill attack this prompt from radically opposing directions, mining the complexities of what Shakespeare has come to symbolise within contemporary theatre, and building a space for voices excluded from the white, male tradition of Shakespearean theatre.
