The National Institute of Circus Arts Presents
Company 18
A Variety Circus Show Curated by James Brown
19 - 22 September 2018
Company 18 boasts some of Australia’s hottest emerging contemporary circus artists. Set indoors at the wonderful National Circus Centre, a line-up of 18 performers will deliver gravity defying stunts and breathtaking displays of physical endurance.
As a culmination of three years of elite training, these graduating students will present skills including: roue Cyr, hula hoops, adagio, swinging trapeze, unicycle, handstands and aerial rope. Each act will have a different feel, from serious and thought provoking to the pure ridiculous and everything in between.
Company 18 will be hosted by the one and only Jan van de Stool (Australia’s favourite Dutch/ Australian musical therapist, as seen on Australia’s Got Talent) who will bring impressive vocals and cheeky comedy to the performances.
Come along to enjoy a diverse program of circus acts, done in classic variety style!
NICA is Australia’s Centre of Excellence for training in contemporary circus arts. It is one of eight national arts training institutes and offers Australia’s only Bachelor of Circus Arts.
