More Than Words
How can the lyrics change the way you sing? "More Than Words" is a singing masterclass that will explore lyric interpretation, storytelling and communication across classical, musical theatre and contemporary. Master teacher Trevor Jones will share his expertise in facilitating technical change through text work and provide practical tools for teachers and performers.
Learn how to:
- break down a song from a story perspective using both the lyrics and music as a guide
- authentically connect to lyric, emotion and story to create a more dynamic performance
- tackle technical challenges by using a text-first approach
- identify the differences in communication techniques across styles
- incorporate all of this into your teaching and your own singing!
