Growing Peace
Cygnet is inviting Maleny & surrounding communities to ‘Growing Peace’ a two-part culture & arts based celebration to express, connect with, & dialogue about Peace on International Peace Day 2019. An afternoon event will include a Welcome to Country, corroboree, collaborative arts activities, talking circle, & closing ceremony featuring multicultural, interfaith songs, & the creation of a ‘Peace Tree.’ This will be followed by an evening concert of intercultural sacred music & a silent minute.
