Australian Poetry (HSC)
These interactive sessions are designed to enhance students’ understanding of their HSC texts as well as the writing process. The esteemed presenters will share their knowledge and respond to questions from students and teachers.
Felicity Plunkett is an award-winning poet and critic. She has a PhD from the University of Sydney and her reviews and essays been widely published. She is a respected teacher and workshop leader, winning an Excellence in Teaching Award from the University of New England. She was Chief Examiner of English Extension 1and 2 in NSW for five years, and regularly works with HSC students and teachers.
Ali Cobby Eckermann Yankunytjatjara Aboriginal poet Ali Cobby Eckermann is the author of seven books, including the verse novel Ruby Moonlight, and the poetry collections Inside My Mother and the memoir Too Afraid to Cry. In 2017 she was awarded Yale University’s Windham Campbell Prize in Poetry.
