Metro Arts present
Fertile Ground (SOLD OUT)
by Ashleigh Musk & Michael Smith
Suspended in time, vulnerable bodies navigate a forest of cement. Landscapes shift, rise and crumble, as audience and performers move through avalanches of decay, gritty transformations that reveal spaces for hope and action.
Manipulating space, sound and a brutalist pile of concrete bricks, Fertile Ground is ground-breaking participatory performance.
PLEASE NOTE
Fertile Ground is a participatory performance which takes place in a construction site. We strongly advise Patrons wear closed-in flat shoes (no heels or thongs), and short skirts or dresses are not recommended.
The Tactile Experiences gives an opportunity for participants to experience key textural elements present in the performance of Fertile Ground through a series of actions which explore weight, touch and vibrations. If attending one of the Tactile Experiences, we strongly recommend also purchasing tickets to see Fertile Ground.
We strongly recommend arriving no later than 15minutes prior to the start time of the performance or tactile experience, as latecomers CANNOT be admitted under any circumstance.
