Durkh A Modne Gloz / Through A Strange Lens
Durkh a Modne Gloz is an avante-garde theatrical experience that takes you into a poetic Yiddish dreamworld. Step into an emotionally raw world of female poets, sexuality, tradition, overbearing relationships, judgement and redemption. Strikingly original, this experiment is the brainchild of composer Josh Abrahams and writer/performer Galit Klas, and builds an electronic score around liturgical and ancient melodies, with retro beats and contemporary sounds. In Yiddish with English subtitles.
