SNAC Women 2021
9-11 am, online, 23 October 2021
In light of ongoing uncertainty as to how things will look on October 23, the decision has been made to hold SNAC Women online this year as a morning event.
There will be teaching from God’s word, music, interviews and discussion – and a home-delivered pack of delicious morning tea to enjoy as we enjoy fellowship virtually.
The cost has been revised to $10, accordingly.
Sadly we won’t be able to have workshops this year at SNAC Women but we hope to be able to run some of these workshops throughout 2022.
SNAC Women may look a little different in 2021, but God is in control and His word remains powerful to teach and equip us to live as God's women in the world.
This year our theme is Being Real with God: Lament, the Cry of the Christian.
Jane Tooher will take us through what the Bible has to say about lament: what it is, how we can lament both individually and corporately and what we can learn from lament. We will look at Psalm 13 and Lamentations 5. We often talk about suffering and grief but most often don't use the term 'lament', yet the Bible has a lot to say about lament so it's important that we understand it. When we see what God has to say about lament, we see that it's part of His grace to us. Lament is the cry of a Christian. This topic will be helpful for both Christian and non-Christian women.
Jane serves on the faculty of Moore Theological College where she lectures in ministry and church history. She is also the Director of Moore's Priscilla & Aquila Centre, which seeks to encourage women in a variety of ministries in partnership with men. She loves walking, spending time with family and friends, hospitality, movies and documentaries.
