Valley Reserve - Aboriginal Cultural Walk & Food Experience (SOLD OUT)

Monash Council, along with our Community Ambassadors and the Friends of Scotchman’s Creek and Valley Reserve, invite you to join a guided walk through Valley Reserve with an Aboriginal Elder who will share First Nation’s knowledge and understanding of Culture and Country.
Learn about native animals and plants, including the traditional uses of them for food, tools and medicine, as well as the history and contemporary life of Aboriginal people.
After the walk you can enjoy some delicious Aboriginal inspired foods prepared on the day by Mullum Mullum Indigenous Gathering Place (BBQ meat/vegetarian options, salads).

Learn about Council’s Gardens for Wildlife program to help you create an indigenous garden at home .
Learn about our local native wildlife and their habitats with some fun activities for kids.
Please bring your own water bottle and wear comfortable walking shoes.
