Introduction to Creative Writing

Learn how to develop an essay, short story and other forms of creative writing from the initial idea to re-drafting and research.Presented by Timmah Ball, this workshop will cover structure, styles of fiction and non-fiction writing, editing and research techniques. You will learn how to shape your writing from early drafts into publishable work. The workshop will help emerging writers to develop a new piece of writing and give more established writers the opportunity to finesse their work.
About Timmah Ball
Timmah Ball is a writer, researcher and zine maker of Ballardong Noongar heritage. In 2021 she was the editor for First Nations writing at The Westerly Magazine. She has been published in a range of literary journals and magazines such as Meanjin, The Griffith Review and The Sydney Review of Books. In 2022 she received Australia Council funding to complete a collection of essays.
