The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG) invites you to an exclusive late-night event like no other. Friday 1 July is the 35th ‘Coral Anniversary’ of the most iconic wedding in Australian TV history.
 
TMAG is celebrating with a late-night ticketed event, marking the anniversary of Scott and Charlene’s 1987 wedding on Neighbours, one of the longest running TV soap operas in Australian television history. 

At the centrepiece of the evening will be tours to TMAG’s Salon Gallery, featuring a display of The Wedding Dress. Yes, TMAG will have on display the original wedding dress worn by pop superstar Kylie Minogue as she walked down the aisle as Charlene!  

With a distinct late ’80s vibe, TMAG’s Central Gallery will be transformed into a suburban wedding reception with our very own wedding singer, a song set by Kylie (well, sort of) and smooth disco numbers from DJ Paulie Cigarettes to dance the night away. Enjoy a cash bar courtesy of Punch & Ladle and courtyard munchies.  

Take a jilted bride tour to The Wedding Dress. Sob through a moving rendition of Scott and Charlene’s iconic wedding song and indulge fully in an era of coral tones, organza, and Chantilly lace.
