A walk to remember those we have lost to suicideSince 2012, Lifeline has been observing World Suicide Prevention Day with Out of the Shadows – local walks around the nation providing a safe space for communities to come together and remember those lives lost to suicide, and support those impacted by suicide.
Through connection and the voices of others, we unite to raise awareness and overcome the stigma surrounding suicide and suicide prevention.
Join Lifeline Tasmania as we walk into the light to bring suicide out of the shadows and let people who are struggling know that there is help available.
Please arrive at 5.45am for a 6am start.
The walk begins at Parliamentary Gardens, participant will leave from the Murray Street end of Parliamentary Gardens and walk along the flat, sealed footpath to the Cardinal Lights in Mawson Place and will return via Franklin Wharf. The walk is under 1km long and suitable for all abilities.
