Join us for a light breakfast and a chance to hear Craig Silvey. Craig is an author and screenwriter from Fremantle, Western Australia.His critically acclaimed debut novel, Rhubarb, was published in 2004. His bestselling second novel, Jasper Jones, was released in 2009 and is considered a modern Australian classic, having won plaudits in three continents, including an International Dublin Literary Award shortlisting, a Michael J. Printz Award Honor, and a Miles Franklin Literary Award Shortlisting, as well as being named the Australian Book Industry Awards Book of the Year for 2010. The book has been adapted for both stage and screen.
Craig’s third novel Honeybee was published in 2020 to critical acclaim and sold over 100,000 copies of the first edition. His new book, Runt, will be published in October.
Craig will be in conversation with Jemma Birrell, who has enjoyed a long career in publishing and is a former artistic director of the Sydney Writers’ Festival.
