Enough is Enough
About
Enough is Enough is a play about problem gambling. Commissioned by the City of Kingston in 2021, the production is set in a bayside hotel that has a pokies room open until 5am. Four characters from different socio-economic backgrounds inhabit the pub and cross paths, their lives descending. One finds hope. One goes down a further bad path. Two linger and try to curb their ways with different degrees of success. An overworked bar woman plays many supportive roles. A narrator gives us the national picture. Enough is Enough is a poignant, heartfelt and bold depiction of what gambling does to people on a daily basis and how it affects those around them. Proudly supported by the City of Yarra.Location
