Effective Listening – Holding your partner’s heart
This is one of a number of 'Growing Closer' relationship workshops for couples - whether you’re exploring marriage, engaged or married. The workshops are skill-based; so, they're open to couples of any faith or no faith.
In this one, we’ll focus on the heart & skill of effective listening, to build bridges of understanding. You’ll find this especially helpful, where you have different perspectives on issues and tend to talk past each other. Feeling heard and understood is the first step in coming together, so you can engage these issues as a team.
This workshop will give you a helpful way of learning to do just that. You'll get to listen to the concept, view a demo of the exercise and practice it as a couple in private. Finally, you'll have an opportunity to reflect on what you want to take away for yourselves.
Before the session, we'll have a light supper, where you get to interact and build relationships with other couples who are keen on growing closer to each other.
