Vocal ensemble VOX invite you to take a walk in the garden with them as they present a program of a cappella choral music inspired by the world of flowers and nature. The concert will be presented in Ballarat’s greenest venue, Botanica. during the Ballarat Begonia Festival. Benjamin Britten’s magnificent Five Flower Songs will be the centrepiece for the program which will also include a selection of the Fire-Flowers by Canadian composer Don McDonald. The concert will include works by James MacMillan, Morten Lauridsen, Gerald Finzi, Ola Gjeilo, Australian composers Percy Grainger and Matthew Orlovich and more. VOX have been presenting choral music in Ballarat and the region since 2005. They are known for the broad ranging exploration of choral music and the high quality of their performance. For this concert this is a line-up of eight singers – Lyndell Allen, Tom Bubner, Peter Freund, Fleur Goodman, Kyle Hackwill, Alison Ho, Lane Hyde and Amber van Dreven.Location
